“Asumeng is a Quantity Surveyor with civil engineering and project management experience of the Rail sector. Asumeng has been working as an Estimating Manager in the HS2 Cost Estimating and Intelligence Team for over a year. This entails working as part of the HS2-Balfour Beatty Joint Venture delivering the Phase 1 of the Main Works Civils Contract works.

As a member of the Integrated Project Team, Asumeng’s main responsibilities include collaborative working with the BBV contractor, HS2 teams, various senior leadership, and stakeholders to understand client requirements and achieve short deadlines.

Asumeng is also providing ongoing estimating services and review support to BBV’s sublots commercial function teams), whilst also being involved in developing delivery schedules, internal reviews for Bottom Up Forecast (BuF) submission requirements, production of submission and assessment templates, liaising and presenting the templates to the IPT.

Asumeng is assuring the BuF submittals such as Point Estimate (direct and indirect scope), Project Risk, Efficiencies, Overlays and Assumptions and Exclusions, to reduce the cost exposure on the programme and to improve the Estimating Uncertainty (EU) Range based on the maturity level of the estimating inputs and products assessment for HS2 Client.

Asumeng is reviewing and assessing BBV compensation event quotations in collaboration with HS2 Commercial to ensure CEs are correct and reflect the magnitude of additional works being carried out.
