Said the following about Vilma Lang:

“Since joining Freightliner in March 2016, following a short internship with a cancer charity, Vilma has provided valuable support to the Corporate Communications team.

Since joining the team, as well as dealing with the day-to-day requirements of her role, Vilma has used her extensive creative design skills to create artwork for advertisements, marketing materials including corporate brochures, exhibition stands, posters, website and executive PowerPoint presentations etc. Not only providing innovative, engaging designs but also saving the company significant costs by not having to use costly external design companies.

She has also used her creative skills to support freight related projects outside of the business e.g. for the Rail Freight Group.

Freightliner's Rail Strategy Manager said: "The support provided by Vilma over the last 12 months has been outstanding. She has produced many high-quality, eye-catching and powerful infographics and helped design professional looking reports, pamphlets and presentations. Recently Vilma designed a two-page report outlining the importance of rail freight on the West Coast Main Line. The quality was exceptional and avoided the need to engage an outside creative design agency, saving many thousands of pounds in design costs. Vilma’s support is very much appreciated, as is her can-do attitude, quick turnaround of work and unwavering patience as I continually tinker and request minor changes!"

And Vilma's talents don't end there, her technical abilities helped her to quickly understand a new media monitoring/business intelligence system the company was trialling. The service provider M'Brain's client relationship manger said:-

“M-Brain is a supplier of market and competitive Intelligence solutions. I first met Vilma when I joined M-Brain and became the Relationship Manager for the Freightliner account. In all my dealings with Vilma, I have found her to be friendly and approachable. She is the consummate professional, and I have never worked with a client who understands her business environment the way Vilma does. An example of this would be in the set-up and pilot phase of the new Plaza system where Vilma provided an extensive and robust list of key terms and companies of interest. The pilot phase for the new Plaza was such an easy process to manage with someone like Vilma to work with. The whole project was a pleasure to be involved in.”

She is also adept at using our website content management system to develop new pages without the support of our website service providers, again saving costs, and has been instrumental in developing a new site for the European part of our business which will also involve her travelling to Poland to train our Polish colleagues in using the CMS.

In view of the above and considering Vilma was more or less straight out of University when she joined (apart from the internship) with very little work experience, I believe she has made a significant contribution to the team and to the business. She has a knack of simplifying and interpreting quite complicated information into visually engaging designs/artwork resulting in her skills being in very high demand across the business.
