“Sean is one of my most experienced and capable dispatchers. He has performed excellently this year despite many challenges, such as covering colleagues’ sicknesses, mentoring two new introductions to the dispatch team and taking a leading role in improving the safety compliance of the station.
To improve safety compliance, Sean has taken on responsibility for the weekly fire alarm testing at the station, coaching colleagues on how to operate the system and ensuring any faults are reported promptly to minimise any danger to our customers. Sean is passionate about improving the customer experience and always strives to deliver a punctual train service while juggling customer requests and inquiries.
In addition to this, Sean was present on the station when a customer had a heart attack and collapsed. Unfortunately the individual could not be revived despite Sean and colleagues administering CPR, but he was instrumental in keeping the customers calm and away from the casualty as much as possible. I cannot speak highly enough of Sean’s professionalism and composure during such a difficult situation.“
