“When Becky first joined us at East Croydon she proactively sought out ways to improve our working environment. One example of this is the office our footbridge exit was dull, messy and cold. She provided two cork boards to display work related cards and notices, she brought tea, coffee and sugar, making sure the kettle was replaced and working. Becky provided us with a small radio. A chalk board was erected so we could communicate with each other much of this she funded herself. Since then Becky has continued to find ways to improve everybody’s mental and physical wellbeing, she has offered support to many of us. Always cheery and upbeat she is a warm friendly person to work alongside. She continues to be proactive in raising disability awareness.

“Absolutely overjoyed to attend the Rail Media RailStaff awards last night. It was a wonderful event full of theatrics, great presentations and laughter. To top it off, of all the finalists, WR/RIA EDI Charter for Rail won Highly commended, alongside the fantastic Shane Andrews MBE in the HR, Diversity and Inclusion Person or team award! So so proud!! This working group truly is an inspirational space and being Vice-chair of such a dynamic group is an honour in itself. Congrats to everyone who was nominated, the finalists and those who won, including Sharon Salmon (she/her) who was a worthy winner to come second to - the work you have done in Network Rail and beyond has truly set the bar high. We really nailed that Candy Dance routine last night ;) Finally, I'm loving growing this community, so thank you to Asif Ahmed, Raf Ahmed, Sonia L Hazel, Lucy Cashin, Stephen Snow and everyone else whom I met last night - you were a pleasure and hopefully see you all very soon! #thankyou #work”
