“I am nominating this team due to their compassion, commitment and hard work. Every day throughout the year they have dealt with either disruption, being short staffed, other operator delays and cancellations, the growing amount of our disabled customers who require our friendly faces or the increase to our footfall. They have done this while keeping their smiles as big as always, their quest to achieve in all areas as great as they can make it.
The team have faced some real challenges within the disruption realm alone. When faced with service cancellation here and bus operations which involve sometimes thousands of people they do this calmly and with compassion. They have been praised by the public so many times for their help in this area.
They delays have been smashed from last year which might not seem much but when added to the massive footfall and assistance rise with no more staff that is in itself a reason to celebrate.
The digital shift has been a competition here at Preston not only between themselves but inter station too, they smashed it coming top for several weeks on the run and still improving their stats daily.
They are such a strong happy team that they deserve the chance to celebrate their successes.“
