“Paul McGunningle- White has been the shining light of c2c Diversity and Inclusion forum.

Always energetic and willing to help lead the way.

Paul has not missed a meeting or conference call, on top of a challenging workload in his job as Treasury manager at Trenitalia c2c Ltd.

Paul is often the first in and last out forum meetings, even chairing a couple of meetings whilst we had a vacancy. The one thing that comes across from Paul is the belief that we can always make a difference.

No subject is off his radar and is often willing to learn more so he can write up an article. His interview of a colleague who has a neurodiverse son was written up as a warm and loving article for our internal publication.

When Our new CEO Rob Mullen challenged us to come up with a Trainbow in just 6 weeks, Paul was on top of it leading, the way and even after it was sorted, he made his way to the depot, put his Hi Viz on and helped attach the Vinyl's.

Paul was also a part of the Trenitalia c2c team at Challenge 2 Challenge games and has since been in contact with other EDI groups to swap best practices. This has also led to the chance for Paul to Chair the first EDI Charter Working Group Pride Event set up by The Railways Industry Association and The Women in Rail EDI Group.

All this has led to an outstanding article in the Railstaff Magazine.“
