Said the following about Pat Bullock:

“A well educated man of the world, having spent time in a variety of different professions, including the army, entrepreneur, city trading and commercial cradle window cleaning.

Pat has taken to the railway with a passion, from his initial PTS training to becoming a very accomplished and sort after Level A SPICOP within Bridgeway and he is fundamental to the Thameslink project.

Pat is always professional, meticulous and passionate regarding all the possessions he is involved in and is continually challenging design and planning to improve arrangements.

He has pioneered the high standard in possession management; this is evident by the succession of new PICOPs who have Pat’s DNA in their application from Pat’s mentorship and advice.

Pat is like the conductor to the orchestra when the “red-ranked” possessions are scheduled. He has been one of the Key SPICOPs during very high profile TLP possessions such as LL04 (Golden Hour Possession) and LL09.

His understanding regarding the importance of high quality communication needed within his field is evident from the various audits and assessments carried out successfully.

Pat is always looking for perfection in his role and will regularly challenge his peers to ensure best practise or safety improvement.

He is a team player and will always go the extra mile to meet the needs of the client and to support his colleagues when in need.

I have known Pat for over 10 years and on a personal level he is one of the most helpful people I have met during my time on the railway. His knowledge and advice on all aspects of the railway is exceptional.“
