Said the following about Northern TSO:

“The Northern Trains TSO provision in my professional opinion is the flag ship rail security contract in the country for a number of factors, not only does Amulet and Northern Trains continue to build an extremely healthy relationship but the investment and passion shown from both sides is something that is evident in the results being achieved on a daily basis across the Northern network. We have a core group who share immense passion, pride and commitment to deliver a service that we can be proud of whilst serving the communities we operate within to the highest possible standards which is also reflected in the rewards and recognition not only our officers have achieved but also the success the contract has seen as a whole at recent awards ceremonies including scooping three highly coveted awards at last year’s Amulet awards. The TSO operation continues to influence the safe running of the network whilst ensuring all incidents both minor and major have minimal disruption to commuters and railway staff alike, this is only made possible by providing the best in class bespoke training and going hand in hand with a team of 60 officers spread across five teams who share the same vision and passion as ourselves and our client.

Across the last 12 months our RSAS accredited officers have embarked on a journey to exceed expectations set from the previous year and has seen them attend and resolve the following amount of incidents... 7,650 offences that have been committed across the network have been reported for intel purposes or to assist with prosecution, 1,026 parking enforcement notices have been issued in the station car parks that officers operate within to ensure revenue is gained back for our client, this is estimated to be around £51,000, TSO's have assisted and interacted with 296 individuals they would consider vulnerable and ensured they remain safe whilst in their care whilst preventing 37 suicides at stations up and down the country and being first on scene and delivering first aid for over 160 medical incidents some of which was extremely distressing for the officers present.

Across the last 12 months as a contract we have also received positive feedback and personal praise from our client, members of railway staff and the British Transport Police on no less than 53 occasions with 0 negative feedback or criticism received something of which gives us immense pride and satisfaction, this also allows us to reward, recognise and commend our officers on a regular basis and in turn seen us issue 38 on the spot rewards throughout the last 12 months for officer's heroics whilst fulfilling their duties.

Despite the operation being in a healthy position we have worked tirelessly as a team in order to make strides in areas we felt was necessary to continue to improve the standards and quality expected of the positions we hold this has included the introduction of access to additional wellness and support functions from the Railway Mission, something of which previously wasn't in place on the contract and through hard work and commitment from our team of supervisors, officer's now have regular access and meetings with the network's railway chaplains in order to best support in officer's time of need.

We also continue to work alongside the Shelter project in order to best combat those rough sleeping in and around the stations we operate and have recently begun working alongside other organisations including Foundation 92 and Chris Leech MBE in order to play an integral part in not only reducing Anti-social behaviour and crime away from the railway but seeing how we can best interact with the individuals committing such offences and giving them options and opportunities in order to give them a better future moving forward. Over the last 12 months we have had officer's visit local schools enhancing pupils knowledge of railway safety whilst taking part in regular days of action and joint community projects.“
