Said the following about Neil Fisher:

“Neil is a highly driven, competent, dedicated and tenacious Health and Safety Adviser. He supports and guides the team and he leaves no stone un-turned in his endeavours. He helps educate as well as guide and has really helped the many many people that he has contact with. Having Neil in the team is such a reassurance and a relief. His knowledge on H&S is second to none and he has worked really hard on his professional development. He does a difficult job, and sometimes may feel undervalued. I have nominated Neil because he is excellent, he is the best HSEA that I have ever encountered and I feel it is time that he was properly recognised for the hard work that he does and for the great achievements he has completed for this team.“

Said the following about Neil Fisher:

“Neil joined Works Delivery Special Projects (LNE) in June 2015, since then to say he has made a difference doesn't do his contribution justice. His integrity and passion for safety as always remained steadfast even in the face of delivery and commercial pressure which is absolutely what is needed within NR. He has been a key member of the team in our achieving Principal Contractor Status and are current audit status for being “High” and praised by the PC Team. (See following response from the PC Team)

"Hi Neil,

The prompt responses throughout this audit have been appreciated. I can confirm that as a result of the evidence submitted yesterday that this audit is now closed. As a result of the audit, the assurance level for the LNE Special Projects Principal Contractor Licence is currently set at high.

LNE Special Projects continues to be at the forefront of setting the standard nationally for Works Delivery on how to deliver work in compliance with its Principal Contractor responsibilities. As always, this high level of performance can only be achieved through a team effort and everyone involved should be made aware of their contribution to this continuing success"

Assurance Specialist

During his time with our team he has helped change behaviours and safety culture, all while increasing his knowledge and competence. This has culminated in Neil achieving chartered membership of the institute of occupational safety and health. With Neil's help on my works for IP Signalling Northern we have rolled out the use of Hav watches and have face fit tested and supplied the right respirator equipment to all staff. This has been highlighted to the ORR and is seen as best practice within NR.

Neil works with the delivery team and with his help the Safety Vision and Everybody Home Safe every day is absolutely business as usual.“
