The Three Peaks Challenge is a task of epic proportions, but this didn’t deter our Mobile Operations Managers Doug, Steve, John and Gary. They walked 23 miles up and down Yr Wyddfa, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis, climbing over 10,00ft. They tackled steep ascents and challenging terrain all in aid of the Railway Children charity. The love of walking brought them together and after working on a previous Railway Children event, they have invested their time and effort in fund raising to help better the lives of those children who find themselves alone and on the streets. They used the words feeling very humbled when faced with the reality of life for these children and wanted to do what they could.
Not suffice with raising funds through sponsor, they rallied their railway colleagues into offering prizes that could be auctioned to the highest bidder. In total they raised over £11,000 for this worthy cause.
They will not stop there and have pledged to continue to do more for the Railway Children Charity, these gents have been amazing and it would be fantastic to recognise their achievements.“
