Said the following about Mark Brooks:

“Mark, a driver based at York is nominated for his dedication and commitment in ensuring FTPE delivered great customer service on the 12th of July 2014.

Mark acted in a superb manner during disruption, he dealt with passenger after passenger throughout the whole evening and was a massive help. Mark went beyond what was required from him and he did this while under pressure due to train service issues. He never faulted in his delivery of excellent customer service in very adverse circumstances due to the high volume of passengers.

Mark remained on the platform for an extra 40 minutes at the end of his shift, he even gave up his umbrella to a couple that were caught out in the rain.

It is vitally important that our frontline staff show flexibility and adaptability to the role they perform. Mark’s example of this as well as showing dedication, commitment and a passion to help us deliver our mission statement of ‘Delivering Great Service Everyday‘ is very much appreciated and has been recognised at the higher levels of management.“
