“Voith nominates Liam Owens for the Railstaff award 2017

Liam tackles challenges with enthusiasm, whilst fulfilling his commitments using honest, fair and good judgement. Courteously and his helpful nature are evident immediately when meeting him. This combined with a great work ethic, his professional conduct is a source of admiration and both customers and colleagues respect him. He embodies integrity and reliability that we as a company cherish and value.

Background and reasoning:

Liam joined Voith in 2011 as a service engineer and quickly proved his competence and skills in managing diversified service issues. He always finds a solution taking both the customer and Voith into consideration.

Liam rises above every challenge and is extremely well thought of by our clients, who speak very highly of him.

In 2014, Liam managed to solve a very complex technical problem which proved to be the right solution both from a financial and engineering point of view. In 2016, he was promoted to sales engineer responsible for Ireland in its entirety and growing the service business, whilst keeping our customers satisfied.

During this last year, Liam started a business diploma and demonstrates admirable self-discipline. He fulfils his business and work obligations whilst studying in the evenings. His strength of character and work ethic is admirable and for this we applaud him.“
