Lynn Jolly - **HAS LEFT**

Said the following about Joanne Robertson - **HAS LEFT**:

“Joanne managed to save the life of one of our passengers a few weeks ago by recognising he was vulnerable and at risk. She intervened by conversing with her colleagues and speaking to the police about the man in question. When the police approached him he admitted he was suicidal and requested to be sectioned. Paramedics were called who after assessing the man took him away to a hospital where he would receive the treatment he required.

Although this may not sound like a lot, Joanne was riddled with guilt for a good while after it as she felt that then man may have felt that she got him into trouble with the police. We assured her that as not the case and that she had in fact saved his life, but it my point is, staff don’t just get involved in these types of situations and then forget them, the memory of these incidents runs over into the life of the staff member and can often encroach on their personal life...this is why I belief recognition is all so important.“
