“Jimmy Mills has to be one of the best teachers on a training course that I have ever been on. Personally speaking, I have went through all high school, collage, university and many many different training courses, but out of all these Jimmy has to be the best teacher in the way in conveys information.
His training style and wide variance of knowledge about the railway is impeccable. He has done several different roles on the railway and transfers this to his class. I have now been on three different courses and the feedback from other people have all been excellent. I have been on my personal track safety, and emergency dispatch most recently and passed out both due to his teaching skills. Jimmy uses past experience and humour to teach people, he has good use of acronyms which makes learning easy to remember on a subject that we have never seen before.
I know he takes many different course within Northern and I wont be surprised if he has more than a good few votes. he trains all the conductors and station staff alike.

“Just a short note to say that I thought the Awards on Saturday night were superbly done and a great event for everyone. Nicely informal, there was never any of the stuffiness that has accompanied some of the Awards ceremonies that I have been used to attending. Particularly laudable was the fact that you got 500 people to your inaugural event, which was an outstanding achievement.”
