“GTR's Train Presentation Teams are, in my opinion, very much the unsung heroes of the COVID pandemic.
Despite being quite scared due to the headlines in the media, of the risks to themselves, they continued to turn up.
They implemented numerous new initiatives for enhanced cleaning, sanitisation and virulcide applications in our driver's cabs, passenger and staff accommodation; to help keep everyone safe when using our stations, trains and buildings.
Their flexibility and adaptability was incredible, constantly changing their working practices at very short notice as the Government issued new rules; from having to wear restrictive PPE, practicing social distancing, staggering whre and when they took breaks and using new products etc.
They really do deserve some recognition and thank you's from the industry as a whole.“
