Nominations for Lifetime Achievement

Trevor Kavanagh

Said the following about George Perry:

“I have the greatest pleasure in nominating George for the lifetime achievement award.

He is an inspiration to us all at Southeastern,he always is up for a smile and a joke to make the shift that little bit easier.Known by his colleagues as (Dad) he is a popular figure in the mess room.

George started on the railway 25years ago and has committed his whole life to the railway, the skills he has acquired over the years have been passed on to new members of staff over the years as he likes to take them under his wing and show them everything he has learnt in his amazing career.

He loves to chat with customers and many a customer will stop and chat with him every single day.He is well known in most if not all London terminals by Southeastern and other TOC company staff, and the will call to Waterloo East to have a chat and a bit of banter with him.

George is retiring now and he is going to be missed by everyone in Southeastern and Train Operating Companies far and near.“
