“I would like to nominate Gary because he is simply the best manager anybody could ever ask for. He never makes me or anyone else feel like a number on a paper. He is always there to help and treats us more like his family. I've never felt afraid to talk to him and he has an open door policy. I always feel safe and assured in my job because I know he has our backs. Within our job role it can be tough at times but we still pull in good figures, a big part of this is because of Gary. If you work for someone that you feel valued by you are motivated to work harder. It's not just our team he looks after he also helps the gateline staff too. When there is disruption he will be the first manager out with his hi Vis on assisting us. He does small things like buying sweets etc. for all members of staff. I would be so happy if he was recognised for the hard work he has achieved with us. He is consistently hard working, happy and makes me proud to work for the Great Northern revenue team!“
