“This nomination is in recognition of this engineering teams dedication and professionalism. When approached by Greater Anglia to carry out emergency train wheel set tyre turning, the team adjusted their shift patterns to maximize capacity.
The team was then approached by Southern to overhaul the Class 313 camshafts and to conduct NDT testing. To date there have now been 9 pairs of camshafts overhauled all within their 6 day time limit.
The team has worked tirelessly and has managed to save the company money, as well as undertaking much needed work for Greater Anglia, not our TOC.
This team are the most committed bunch I guy's I have come across, they really are a proud motivated team, who excel in everything that they touch. They support the business tirelessly always looking for ways to improve and live the company values. This team focus often in GTR corporate awards and will always be found going the extra mile.
As you can see from this submission they are also committed to support other train operating companies, therefore we believe the Hornsey Team should be recognised.“
