“I wish to nominate Claire Partridge for the RBF "Heart of Gold' Award for Charity

Claire’s enthusiasm, drive and determination lit an infectious beacon of hope to many individuals and organisations leading to a raised awareness for many charities and other functions within Network Rail but across the rail industry and external partners across the UK.

Claire’s efforts deserve recognition not just for the various amounts of funds raised but also for the diversity of the organisations and individuals she supported through various idea’s and initiatives, including, Musical - Rail House Rock Cardiff, Banardos. Sports - The Brunel Shield and for Shelter Cymru Clic Sargent and Mind, Cycling – St David’s Hospice, Seasonal collections and lunches, for various local organisations including Christmas present collection for local children centre in Cardiff.

Her inspirational persona and acts of kindness have brought people from all over the routes and business and gets them to embrace her ideas, she is the heart and soul of any charitable activity in the Wales route and things will continue to evolve. Without her drive and foresight none of these events or supporting organisations would have been possible or been involved and the charities would have not benefited from the outputs of Claire’s efforts.

Not only does this delve into Claire’s ’s personal life and involved many long commutes for organising to make the events work, She does this selflessly in his own time to achieve a bright outcome for the charities and build a foundation for future charities and those less fortunate to benefit and to make a difference to other people’s lives. She attends many meetings to try to engage stakeholders involved. Making task of huge proportion look easy….

The end success is various benefiting events organisations benefiting from Claire’s input which has seen communities brought together and Network Rail and industry partners inspired to and keen participate and help raise money for charities.

I believe in Claire’s in endeavours, and have no doubt that any charity or fund raising event she is involved in will flourish because of her involvement.“
