The RailStaff Awards 2024

David Smith

Said the following about Chris Stupack:

“Having been on the railway for over 20 years, Chris must be the best recruitment professional I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He is articulate, friendly, great at his job but most importantly completely honest in everything he does. He and the rest of his team work tirelessly to ensure every contractor is completely happy at all times, he is on call 24/7 (as I have had to call in the wee hours before) and even gave up his entire Christmas break to travel around 13 different stations throughout the day and night, ensuring client and contractor satisfaction was, and remains the top priority. He always seems to know what’s going on before it happens and remains the most easy going guy I know in the industry who puts everyone else before himself, whether they work under his banner or not. The Mane team always deliver, even with only a few hours notice. It’s crazy that he’s only been recruiting for under 2 years, other more experienced recruiters, agencies and the industry could learn a lot from him. I would like to thank Chris for all he has done for myself, for VINCI and for Crossrail and wish him the best of success moving forward.“

Simon Logie

Said the following about Chris Stupack:

“I'd like to say a few words regarding the performance and quality of service provided by Mane Contract Services, and especially Executive Consultant Chris Stupack.

As we all know Mane are a long standing leading player in the rail (recruitment) industry but they never rest on their laurels. They are as sharp and keen as any new company coming into the arena but have the experience and specialist knowledge that puts them way above any rival I've dealt with.

This leads me on to a certain Chris Stupack.

I first dealt with Chris some two years ago and he has been invaluable to me ever since; he actually negotiated my current contract with Taylor Woodrow/VINCI Construction on their Crossrail project.

I've called on Chris many times since then, and with some very demanding requests, he's come through every single time (and sometimes they were nearly impossible).

Being rail; these requests have been placed at some of the most unsocial times of our calendar, night, day, weekend or bank holiday, but I have never not been able to contact Chris , no straight to voicemail or he's in a meeting, he always delivers - simple as that.

His knowledge of specialist trades/disciplines/senior level recruitment is a massive help to people like me and a credit to Mane too.

In short - a great guy and a great company, keep up the good work.“

Christine Harman

Said the following about Chris Stupack:

“Chris is an exceptional talent in the rail industry.

Not only does he regularly go above and beyond what is expected, often using his own resources to do so, but he is simply a guy that wants others to succeed and do well. His passion for helping people secure a new position (or gain a pay rise) is second to none and it has been an absolute please to have had him represent me for the past 2 years.

As others have mentioned, he travelled across numerous railways stations on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, but what goes unnoticed is the smaller things that don;t get publicised. He's dropped paperwork and PPE to my house in the early hours, he's bent over backwards when I've asked him for favours or to help any ex-colleagues of mine, and most importantly he is the most down to earth, friendly person you will meet in a recruiting capacity. He even spent his own money to send me a hamper when I'd been with his client for a year.

I have not yet met someone who deserves this nomination more than Chris and truly hope he is recognised for his hard work, continued determination, incredibly attitude and ability to succeed where so many have not. Congratulations.“

Ben Francis

Said the following about Chris Stupack:

“I would like to nominate Chris for this award for his continued contribution to the industry, the company and his peers. Originally joining the same team Chris was part of, it was easy to see why he is so easy to get along with. Chris strives to improve his knowledge of the rail industry and seems to care more about how his clients and contractors feel that the nearest competitors.

Chris has been instrumental in the development of a white collar team as Mane and is naturally to go-to guy for anything senior within Transport, Rail & Infrastructure. Often the first to arrive and last to leave, setting a good example seems to be naturally part of Chris' personality. An advocate for being proactive rather than reactive, he is constantly on a mission to change perceptions and work in an entrepreneurial and creative manner; highlighted by his knack of just 'making things work.'

Chris also champions Mane's charity events, organising and running the charity quizzes, skydiving, sponsored events and more. He has assisted the HR teams and other staff at Mane in raising thousands of pounds for The Peace Hospice and is always looking to develop the social side of the business - whether with clients, contractors or other recruiters; ensuring that there is always time for everyone to enjoy themselves.

Chris is an asset to the team at Mane and has certainly helped my development along with the other senior staff. Chris deserves this nomination as much as the next person and I thoroughly look forward to continue working with him for years to come.“
