Said the following about Chris Kelly:

“Chris has been an excellent example of why Businesses should run Graduate Schemes. As well at the Graduate taking the knowledge from the Business and learning from people around them, they also contribute a great deal back into their workplace. These can be such things as enthusiasm, drive, determination, as well as showing the team their potential for the future. This is most definitely what Chris has demonstrated, whilst becoming a key member of the Management Team on Crossrail West for Alstom in a relatively short space of time. From a Health and Safety perspective Chris has demonstrated leading by example to site based staff, as well as rectifying issues that have been raised to him locally with focus and determination. An example of this would be being Alstom's lead in building an improved, safer, stores area for our teams to work in. Chris has also shown a real interest in community engagement, being the organiser for a community engagement event where a courtyard at Wexham Park Hospital (Bucks) was wholly refurbished by Alstom / contract partner staff. This was very well received as we had a member of staff treated by the Hospital after he sustained a stroke on site prior to the initiative taking place. I look forward to seeing Chris continue to grow in his role as a Project Manager within the Business.“

Said the following about Chris Kelly:

“Chris has just successfully completed the company graduate scheme.

During the course of the last 3 years Chris has been a major contributor to the on-going success of the Crossrail West project. He has developed as a person and increasingly raised his profile on both the project and in the business. He is used as a role model for new graduates to expire to. He has supported and increasingly managed packages of works resulting in the recent implementation of a new stores and material system for the project.

Chris was also a key contributor to the recent successful Christmas commissioning.

Chris is diligent and professional and always works to a high standard. I look forward to watching him develop his career over the coming years.“

Said the following about Chris Kelly:

“Chris has worked for me for a year now. The way that he builds relationships both internally and externally (with the client and 3rd party suppliers) is brilliant.

In a very short space of time he has developed from a graduate assisting on projects to someone who is now leading packages of work from cradle to grave.

His teamwork and enthusiasm is infectious and this has rubbed off on his colleagues and peers.

The biggest compliment that I can pay Chris is that in an industry where it is easy to find reasons not to do something, Chris is instrumental in overcoming these issues in a very professional manner.

Said the following about Chris Kelly:

“Chris is a great advertisement as to why Graduate programmes are important to Alstom and the Rail Industry. He came to us via the construction industry but through his enthusiasm and dedication, quite quickly started to understand the quirks and nuances of the rail industry and what it takes to deliver a multi disciplined project in difficult circumstances.

Chris has always sought to gather more information and experience during his apprenticeship and subsequent PM roles. More importantly, he understands that he is on a learning curve and is open to and seeks further support and guidance where required.

Chris has now successfully taken on packages of work to manage himself as Project Manager and is keen to take on larger and more complex projects. He is a good team builder and manages to get the most out of his team and his enthusiasm is infectious for those working with him.

He has always given his time to support new staff and graduate intakes and his ability to explain his experience to these candidates has helped bring new staff to this industry.

I am keen to see Chris progress and develop to his full potential over the coming years.“

Jay Cordingley

Said the following about Chris Kelly:

“Chris is a successful graduate of the Alstom Graduate Scheme, having recently completed a 3 year programme with the business. He is a glowing example of the benefits of a graduate scheme showing professionalism, a desire for knowledge plus a strong pride and loyalty to his employer.

As a graduate in project management Chris needed to quickly establish relationships across the business, and his ability to build up a rapport with other employees, suppliers and clients is his strongest asset. Chris was embedded in the project team from day one. By following a 3 month rotation around the business departments Chris has a well rounded understanding of all the key business functions and he is now using this to his advantage.

For the last 3 years Chris has been heavily involved in managing works on the Crossrail West Signalling Project through preparation, installation and delivery of major commissioning stages. On a highly ambitious and prestigious project like Crossrail Chris is under constant pressure to deliver and he takes this in his stride, with a keen ability to decide when to manage issues himself and when to escalate to his managers. During commissioning blockades his input has been critical, where he has acted as a strong project manager keeping a level head and ensuring frequent and accurate reporting.

Chris conducts himself in a manner far in advance of his age and experience and will progress far within the industry. Having completed the graduate scheme he is now reinvesting his time in supporting new graduates through the programme.“
