Said the following about Birmingham Snow Hill Station Team:

“I previously had the privilege of managing the Birmingham Snow Hill Team, which includes Supervisors, Dispatchers, Announcers, Ticket Office and Revenue Officers. As the location is also a depot there are also Technicians, Drivers and Senior Conductors, along with the Management Team for these functions. There is such a positive vibe and can do attitude throughout and the collaborative working relationships that have been built are very special, it is like a family.

The Station Team deal with so much in their stride, whether it be having to evacuate the station because of a suicidal attempt from the multi-storey car park above, severe disruption of services, saving someone's life with a defibrillator, taking care of an elderly lady who had fallen and broken her hip, taking a line block to follow a young person along the track and encourage them to return to safety, dealing with high footfall events and customers under the influence, noticing potential county lines cases and taking the time to speak to youngsters who they have noticed are carrying a knife and contacting the relevant authorities. There are many more instances that I could mention as these are merely the tip of the iceberg.

The team remain professional, approachable and positive at all times and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. They work extremely hard on a daily basis and usually do it with a smile on their face. There are times when someone may be down but they pull together and ensure that they look after each other, even when they are not at work they check in with those who are having a difficult time which is why they are like a family and a family that I am proud to have been part of.

This team are a credit to our company and the overall business and they thoroughly deserve the recognition as you could not ask for a better team to work with.“
