Said the following about Alan Neville:

“Alan started his career in the Peak District before locating himself down to East Anglia. There isn't many jobs that Alan hasn't done on the railway, from Ticket Office right through to Station Manager. He gained his experience through British Rail and many TOC's since then, ending up as Greater Anglia's Community and Customer Engagement Manager. Daily, mild mannered Alan can be seen meeting with various different community members, sprucing up areas through the Station Adopter groups, installing Bee hotels in railway gardens and generally getting the local public involved in their station. There's also a side to Alan's job that we don't always see. He is out there talking to our neighbours when they are being disturbed by our rail improvement projects, liaising with emergency services to make all our lives safer, amongst a host of other things. Alan is the first to admit that he loves his job, and we would honestly be lost without him. In my opinion he is a true asset to Greater Anglia, steps up to help, stands in the background to support and is there to pick you up when times get hard.

Alan deserves recognition for the life he has dedicated to our railways, a true inspiration.“
