Said the following about Aggie Shiham:

“Aggie works alone at Datchet station and brings true professionalism and genuine care towards delivering excellent customer service. Aggie is dedicated and extremely organised and has developed processes for managing the ticket office over the years that have thoroughly impressed her customers.

She is always willing to help with advice no matter how complicated and will see the issue through to the end. Aggie is exemplary at demonstrating SWR’s values and behaviours and her positive attitude has a direct impact on her colleagues.

Aggie’s hard work doesn’t end with her office work; she consistently works to lift the spirit of the people around her, and she has raised money for the Macmillan Cancer charity and collected shoeboxes for the SWR gift appeal.

Aggie’s customers are full of praise for her hard work and commitment to supporting them even in difficult times and is a true inspiration for the railway.“

Said the following about Aggie Shiham:

“I would like to nominate Aggie for the Customer Service Award because she is a true inspiration. She welcomes everyone with a big smile at Datchet station.

I have known Aggie as a colleague for over 15 years and have always turned to her for advice and guidance. She is very knowledgeable and always willing to help.

The customers do not just come to the station to get on the trains but I have seen some customers coming to the station for a chat. She is a part of the community at Datchet. She's been praised by the residents of the village on the local facebook page many times for all the hard work she's put in to make the station beautiful by keeping it tidy and spotless. She is like a celebrity in the village. She provides the best experience to the customers when travelling from the station.

She keeps the spirits up of the local residents and passengers during the festive period. She does fabulous decoration for Christmas time and she's celebrated the Queen's jubilee and King's coronation along with the people in the village. She organised the Macmillan Coffee Morning and raised an amazing amount of money.

She has won an Excellence Award 2023 for Committed to customers which she truly deserved. I'm glad that she has been finally recognised for her efforts to make Datchet a better and lovely station.

Aggie is a fantastic representative of the SWR behaviours and values.

Well done Aggie!! You deserve this recognition!“

Claire Burningham

Said the following about Aggie Shiham:

“Aggie is such a delight. I don’t travel every day nor every week, but despite that Aggie knows me and knows the ticket I need before I even speak. She takes time to speak to every single customer, she is a breath of fresh air of an early morning. Two weeks ago I discovered the train I was planning for was cancelled, so I had to run to get there for an earlier train. I got there all hot and bothered and Aggie had my ticket printed before I asked and gave me some water to cool down and recover. She cares for every single customer, she never has an off day, and she cheers up every single customer she encounters. We are so lucky to have Aggie.“

Ed Burningham

She should be used as a role model for your company when training people about customer service. Total star!“
