Said the following about Margy Kearns:

“Margy has worked within the Revenue Protection department for thirteen years. She is the first person colleagues from all areas of the business often turn to for advice and support. Her role of RPO can be quite difficult and challenging at times but Margy possess the ability to remain calm and professional, often finding solutions to diffuse potentially confrontation situations. She consistently portrays a positive attitude, has an excellent attendance record and never receives customer complaints, despite being in an enforcement role.

Quite simply, Margy is a good person with a great work ethic and takes pride in what she does. She conducts herself with the belief you should treat others how you expect to be treated yourself.

Margy has performed as described in question one, throughout 2014/15 and years past, she has also recently successful completed the Developing Leaders Course. Colleagues within the department look upon Margy as a role model and will often seek her advice to help them carryout their job in the best possible way. She is also the first to welcome new starters to the role, ensuring they feel at ease and provides them with 'peer' support from the get-go. Resulting in her winning the Merseyrail Customer Service Ambassador of the Year and the Merseyrail Employee of the Year, in our recent achievement awards in 2015.

Consistently demonstrating our values provides us all with a benchmark to aim for. Her personality and behaviour has a real positive impact on workplace morale. Her natural demeanour and willingness to assist customers wherever possible helps ensure their end to end journey is a pleasurable experience. Margy embodies all the values Merseyrail stands for. As well as being a consistent performer and being there for colleagues and customers alike, she has made the time to focus on developing her skills by successfully completing the Merseyrail Developing Leaders Course. Her positive attitude and respectful nature means she quickly earns the respect of everyone she meets and is often the link between front-line staff and management.“
