Said the following about Scott McCloud:

“Scott arrived in the UK from Australia and immediately jumped into his new job as Communications and Stakeholder Manager for MTR Elizabeth line. New country, new role, new team – and new railway! With only a few months until the opening of the central section and the official launch of the Elizabeth line, Scott worked at pace to establish himself in his new role and build strong relationships both internally and externally.

Scott quickly made a significant impact across multiple areas, particularly stakeholder management, an important yet often overlooked priority. He strengthened our relationship with Transport for London and Network Rail colleagues, as well as with senior leaders, politicians and local community representatives. He was a key driving force behind an exceptional media campaign to raise the profile of MTR Elizabeth’s work with Samaritans, managing requests from global media outlets all keen to speak to one of our inspirational frontline colleagues who went on to be interviewed in national and international press and on television in support of Mental Health Awareness Week.

Scott was a key member of the team that prepared and successfully launched the Elizabeth line in May 2022, working on both the VIP event attended by HM the Queen and the first opening day to the public.

Scott is hugely passionate about his job and the rail industry. He constantly seeks to find improvements and solutions in order to either build up the capabilities or reputation of MTR Elizabeth line, or in going above and beyond to support our customers. As the People and Culture team’s Innovation Champion, Scott also helps to drive innovation and performance improvement at MTR Elizabeth line – essentially, he always has the reputation of the organisation at heart.

Scott regularly receives positive feedback for his performance, exceptional efforts, engaging personality and affability. In December 2021, he was awarded MTR Elizabeth line’s Annual Award for ‘Emerging Talent’ and throughout 2022 has continued to go from strength to strength. The UK rail industry and MTR Elizabeth line is incredibly fortunate to have Scott on board and we can’t wait to see how his career progresses.“
