This is a huge challenge when considering her role as Safeguarding Manager for MTR Elizabeth line, as there can be so much negativity in the vulnerability space, particularly regarding suicidal behaviours in the rail environment.
Sultana has transformed our approach to working within this space based on partnership working with a huge range of interested parties from within and without the rail industry. She is dedicated to ensuring individuals in crisis are dealt with in dignity and understanding by our front-line colleagues. She seeks to ensure our frontline colleagues have the confidence to interact and intercede with individuals, before they reach, such a crisis point as wishing to end their lives. Sultana is a steadfast champion of outreach working with the homeless and raising awareness regarding Violence Against Women and Girls.
If the measure of Sultana, is in the feedback from the many that interact with her and pass on to me their admiration and respect for what she is seeking to achieve on the Elizabeth line, then she truly deserves this award."“
