“Jannette works at Alfreton station in the ticket office mainly on her own. She is new to the business having only been with EMT since December. Previously Jannette worked with the NHS and perhaps using this experience she noticed someone who looked vulnerable and perhaps considering suicide. She took the time to go out and to speak to them and it soon became apparent that suicide was definitely being considered, but by speaking to them and intervening Jannette made them think again and the person left the station and sought the help that was needed.“
