Jamie Burrows - **HAS LEFT**

Said the following about Iveta Griffiths - **HAS LEFT**:

“Iveta was working on Thursday 13th July. That evening she was checking through a train as per normal. She saw a man heading towards the North end of the platform. Iveta first thought he looked like he was going to collect his bike off of the train which had arrived a few minutes before. She continued to walk through the train carrying out her checks but her instinct kicked in that something wasn't right. She got off of the train to see where the man was going and he had headed further into the restricted area and in front of the train. Iveta called over to him to see if he needed help and he said that he had enough. He then tried to jump in front of an approaching train. Iveta grabbed the man and did everything she could to hold him back. She called for help on her radio and luckily the approaching train came in slowly and she was able to restrain him from making the jump. Iveta demonstrated extreme bravery and is a true credit to the company and the railway.“
