“Over the past year the Thames Valley Health and Safety Representative Team (Operations) has grown significantly, with 14 representatives covering 15 operational teams/locations. This good work has culminated in the 3rd annual Western Route Welfare Conference which was held in Bristol and attended by over 200 colleagues from across the route, a feat only possible by the continued hard work and dedication from the H&S representatives from the Thames Valley area. Moreover, an increased focus from the H&S on mental health and wellbeing has seen several colleagues become Mental Health First Aiders, providing additional support to those who need it. Often sacrificing their own time off to undertake these additional duties, the Thames valley Area H&S Representatives have taken a proactive and dynamic approach to their duties in the name of making health, safety and wellbeing of their colleagues a priority.“
