Said the following about John Dawson and Rob Shannon:

“While on patrol as one of our Safer Station Teams they noticed a female who had been wandering around the Station for a while but had never boarded a train. They approached her as she seemed to be upset, at first the female was reluctant to talk so John & Rob gave her some space before she approached them and admitted she was at the Station with the intention of ending her life.

John & Rob spoke with the female keeping her calm and moving her away from any platforms or crowds as this seemed to be making her feel worse. They took her to the coffee shop in the Station to get her a hot drink to warm her up.

They was with the female for over two hours keeping her calm and relaxed listening to her concerns while waiting for the emergency services to arrive who were extremely stretched that night.

The police arrived first however this caused the female to become more agitated so the police agreed on the decision to withdraw and leave John & Rob to stay with the female waiting for the ambulance service to arrive.

A short while later an Ambulance arrived for the female, she was walked to the ambulance by John & Rob along with the paramedics however as soon as she was in the back of the ambulance she become very aggressive and causing harm to herself.

The female was let out of the ambulance where John & Rob with the assistance of the paramedics managed to calm her back down.

As the female was still slightly agitated John & Rob offered to go in the ambulance with her to the local hospital which both she and the paramedics where grateful of.“
