Said the following about Jason Pym:

“Great Western Railway (GWR) is one of the biggest rail franchises in the UK, part of the First Group of companies, operating the Western network since 1996, rebranding ourselves as GWR in 2015. We employ over 6000 people across our network and we carry more than one and a half million customers over two million single journeys on 10,000 services every week. People are at the heart of our business and our ethos is that we are 'greater together'.

Jason was working a train when he observed a female on a foot crossing sitting in the middle of the tracks.

Jason brought his train to a stand and secured the safety of the line by ensuring all train movements were stopped in the area by communicating with the signaller.

Jason then observed the female making gestures for him to run her over, and upon doing so Jason left his train to go and talk with the female. Jason spent some time talking with the female, listening and calming her down to the point that Jason was able to get her to agree to move to a position of safety.

Jason walked with the female to where the police could take the female into their care.“
