Said the following about Aaron Mohangee and Dave Johnston:

“Whilst conducting a Security patrol of a rail station known to be a Suicidal hotspot Aaron and Dave where alerted by a member of the public that a male has threatened to jump in front of a train and is now on the track of the fast line. Aaron and Dave with the assistance of the MOM immediately made their way to the end of platform 2 and located him standing on the track. The team witnessed an approaching train and assisted in carrying out the emergency stop procedure ensuring the males safety and giving them time to get him of the tracks and into a position of safety,

During the above Intervention and while handing over to the BTP Aaron and Dave heard shouting from another Land Sheriff team trying to alert them to another suicidal person, both Aaron and Dave immediately once again sprang into action exiting the office and saw a female sitting on the edge of platform 3 with her legs dangling over the tracks, both Aaron and Dave shouted to her to get back from the track but they had no response and had to physically remove her to get her to a position of safety.

I am very confident that without Aaron's and Dave quick thinking and immense courage 2 individuals may have ended their lives that day. This award would not only highlight the great work they do but shows how great full we are that committed people like them work on our rail network everyday helping to get everyone home safe.“
