In May Michael volunteered to take on the role of Signal & Telecoms Maintenance Engineer in Manchester in an acting capacity. He did this with little prior knowledge or experience of this high profile role and has, through hard work and long hours, made the transition seamlessly, whilst also managing some of his existing workload from his substantive post. In the past 12 months he has also achieved a 1st Class Honours degree in Railway Engineering at Sheffield University. Michael is the epitome of hard work and dedication and is an example to us all.“
