“Karen has been station Manager at Manchester Piccadilly for around 10 years, and has managed a huge number of people in that time, she is always approachable and concerned for the welfare of all her staff, she listens and acts upon all suggestions. On many occasions Karen has led charitable events, and also major company and industry events in order to get the public to notice, she is an expert at identifying people for roles within these events and gets them motivated, usually with great success. Karen always tries to keep morale high by getting the small things right, such as ice lollies for the staff in hot weather, and hand warmers in the winter. She is always on hand to help, and never shrugs anyone off, she has a very laid back demeanour which the staff love and it shows through when we get regular great feedback from our passengers. She is always rewarding and congratulating people, and I think it is time she got rewarded and congratulated also.“
