“This is a team nomination for the IS Helpdesk at Northern. The guys in the department are battered day in and day out with IT queries and problems, everyone, of which, is "of the utmost importance". They are professional and friendly at all times despite regularly being on the receiving end of frustrated "customers". If they aren't able to solve the issue in the initial call, they will endeavour to find a solution as quickly as possible. They have a thankless task that is carried out every day under challenging circumstances.

I recently had a major issue with my laptop, with applications closing down making most tasks impossible. Pop ups coming on the screen every 10 minutes and printers not working. The Team managed to keep things running until I was able to take the laptop to them to re-build. At the same time I had to swap my Managers laptop and ensure all information / apps were transferred to the new device. The team were excellent, doing everything that was required in a timely manner, ensuring everything was up and running before released both laptops, explaining what they were doing and answering my stupid questions as they did.

They do a great job to keep Northern running, as without our computer systems / telephone network we would truly come to a standstill. Well done guys!“
