Said the following about Helen Paxton - **HAS LEFT**:

“Helen has been a shining example of an apprentice for over 12 months. She has constantly delivered assignments and evidence of her apprentice showcase to an amazing standard. She has by far surpassed expectations of her capabilities within her role as an ‘Apprentice Welcome Host', at her home station Stoke-on-Trent. She has been constantly looking for new and effective ways to develop and further her career upon completion of her apprenticeship and has raised her profile immeasurably across the network. She is always keen and curious about the wider business and has actioned shadowing events and other self-learning opportunities to improve her skills and knowledge. Helen is a very hard working, reliable and a friendly member of the VT team and deserves a nomination for the Apprentice of the year as appreciation for her fantastic efforts and attitude to deliver the best customer service.“

Said the following about Helen Paxton - **HAS LEFT**:

“Helen started at Stoke on Trent Station for Virgin Trains 12 months ago, she had never worked in the rail industry before. Helen’s personality is infectious, with a great source of energy and enthusiasm since day one at Stoke on Trent Station. Her Role in the business is a Welcome Host, a difficult role, this entails delivering high levels of great customer service, ticketing issues and enquiries as well as having a good local knowledge of our station and the community, whist protecting our revenue. She consistently demonstrates, not only how dedicated she is to the team but regularly in her own time is supporting & helping other apprentices/new team members in need of some direction and assistance. She always has a smile on her face and committed to Customer service, this reflects as receives lots of letters of praise from both staff & customers, which again in her role is fantastic news to me.

Helen has worked hard the past few months to develop her own skills in the retail team and look at other opportunities in the business that will support her career aspirations. I have realised that Helen’s personality and attitude around the workplace that she is such an inspirational character with a kind and generous disposition, I think this award would reflect a super year that started as an apprentice and Helen has taken it to the next level by leading by example and she is a great Role Model for any business.
