“Guillermo has been a station Manager with Heathrow Express for almost 10 years, Guillermo is a trusted & valued member of our team. Within the last 10 years our grade has seen 3 restructured positions, each with additional supportive roles towards front line customer service. These changes each time bring varied changes to our daily duties which have meant roster changes not only for the 28 Duty Station Managers but also the 13 Service Team leader roles too. Each time Guillermo has volunteered to review our working rosters, and more recently has spent much of his own time working on rosters that not only meet company needs, but that of our whole team. Guillermo takes into consideration the Fatigue index along with working time directive to ensure that the rosters he produces are fit for purpose that benefit all of the team which demonstrates a fairness to all. This is additional work Guillermo takes on as well as continuing to support our team on a daily /shift basis without claiming for additional hours or the request for any reward. Therefore for his commitment & time I feel it is only right he should be recognised within the wider industry as the Rail Person of the years 2018, Guillermo is a selfless person whom remains motivated when working towards goals for other people.“
