Said the following about Aberdeen On Board Team:

“Aberdeen team located at the very north of the Virgin route can seem an awful long way from the main hub dub, but the team, who work between Aberdeen and Edinburgh in both directions, are a shining north star, they work together and play together.

As there is no Rail Gourmet in Aberdeen if the supplies are not put onto the train then they have no supplies for the next service. The team think nothing of contacting the team for the next day to let them know and then they will pop into the shops to make sure that we can offer our customers something in the way of breakfast, a nice little almond croissant, bacon butties a popular alternative. All of this only possible by team work and this is because the team want to provide the best possible service to their customers.

They love to delightfully surprise a customer with a bottle of wine if they are celebrating a special occasion, along with one another’s special occasion it’s not unusual to see the staff sporting tiaras and giving out sweets and books to our young customers. They are also heavily involved in the community supporting local charities with walks and special trips on the train for the charity befriend a child, a collection of towels for the local dogs home or charity spins and walks for the Cyrenians in Aberdeen.

Due to some internal movement they have been short of 3 of their team during the summer - but they still provided a smile and a full service for all of our customers“
