Said the following about Tracy Donohue:

“No one embodies a passion for learning and supporting colleagues as much as Tracy. The work she has undertaken last year to drive learning and development across circa 950 frontline colleagues and the impact she is having is immeasurable. What she has achieved as some examples include:

• Creating a full and detailed training tool for our new starters which brings together all the information that they might need from day one and within their first year. This amazing resource was brought together by her determination to understand the intricacies of each role and communicate them in such a way that someone new to the role could understand and use it. This was no easy task as you can imagine!

• Following on from this invaluable piece of work Tracy has built on this with her constant drive to improve learning and development for all frontline team members by tracking eLearning completion across the brands leading to 98% completion rates across our key courses, with constant and unfaltering support to help those that need support with technology, use how to interact with the learning

• Pioneered a cross-brand mentor tool for new entrants to ensure high standards, good knowledge coverage, and a consistent and collaborative approach across all areas by creating new and exciting resources for them to help our teams thrive and improve

• She has supported a group of key frontline team members in completing essential training courses to be able to support and assessor colleagues to ensure we have key members at key locations to support key learning initiatives

Tracy has spent countless hours and energy in driving these initiatives and providing direct support and continues to drive the conversation in this essential area of the business. Tracy has demonstrated her passion for this work, and our teams love her for it!“

“Tracy tirelessly works with station teams to ensure all staff and managers are completing e learning and help managers look at courses available for staff to complete, no job too big for Tracy, she has a can do attitude to everything.“

She is always asking me how I’m doing, asking what’s new and also motivating me to better myself in my career. She has recently helped me with the push to move from my quieter station to a more busy station where I can excel and continue to learn more and make more use of my customer service skills. “Tracy works tirelessly to provide support to learners across the business and in many different ways. Nothing is ever too much and she is always non-judgmental, encouraging and fully supportive in allowing learners to reach their full potential and to learn in a way that best suits them and allows for any obstacles to be overcome in a seamless way.

She provides support to other L&D colleagues and ensures that all are informed and supported during projects and high volume scenarios.“

On reading other nominations they really do capture Tracy's true personality.

I always remember when I first joined Govia Thameslink Tracy approaching me, a kind and friendly person. Tracy had arrived to carry out my assessment, to see how I was getting on and if I needed any further assistance with knowledge of my job role. At all times Tracy reassuring me and putting me at ease.

Tracy, along with her colleagues have gone above and beyond with training programmes and always recognises others strengths and qualities.

I am nominating Tracy as she deserves the recognition of all her hard work and for being such a bubbly and caring person.“

Said the following about Tracy Donohue:

“Tracy approaches L&D with immeasurable positivity and I've seen how infectious that can be when she's working alongside others.

Over the last 12 months, in addition to her day job Tracy has helped build a network of 17 peer trainers from the ground up across the Thameslink and Great Northern. These peer trainers have completed a full A1 assessor qualification in record time thanks to Tracy's support and guidance and will soon be putting their training to good use. I know Tracy will view the success of this programme as being due to the individual peer trainers as she is incredibly modest but I also hope she recognises that it wouldn't have happened without her hard work or experience.

Tracy makes a difference every day and it is a pleasure to see her in action.“
