“Tony is a mobile customer service assistant and covers five stations on our route but his job is so much more than that. Tony is the first point of call when anything is needed within these stations from members of staff to contractors needing to get in to other stations. He always does it with a smile and a joke even if he is not meant to be working that day. I think that Tony doesn’t get the recognition for what he does from the company that’s why I would like to put him forward for this award“
“I have worked with Tony for nearly two years now and being new to the job myself tony is always there to help out and lend a hand. And I know that recently Tony has had two passengers write into the company with glowing praise for the way that he had gone out of his way to help them. And I don't think that what he does gets recognized by the company for everything he does. He also helps with the contractors in making sure that there's somebody in the stations to make sure that the work being carried out is done and I know that he is the first person that they call even if he isn't working those stations on them days“
“What can I say about Tony? Only that he is a great guy and somebody that is approachable and always willing to help. Tony is what we call an Area 3 mobile this means that he covers up to five different stations and is the first person we call when we need help with a M.I.P or a V.I.P that needs help in boarding or alighting off a train. He is our local union representative and I think he does such a good job of that I have left my previous union and joined his because of the good work he is doing“
“I have known Tony for about two years and he is always there to help if there's a problem and help not just me but the customers with the smallest problems . And nothing seems to faze him even when we go in to disruption and he is always calm under pressure“
