Said the following about ScotRail Communications Team:

“Throughout the pandemic, there was nothing more important than effective communications. The ScotRail team went above and beyond both during, and after, this period. The addition of a digital media production unit in December 2021 has proved vital to providing effective communication both within and without ScotRail. Since filming began, the team has produced over 60 separate videos for various departments within ScotRail. The projects have ranged from one on the Santa Express, a seven-minute programme about the inaugural Santa Express charity train for children which was run by ScotRail on behalf of the Railway Children charity, to social media videos and staff profiles.

They have taken video to a different level by introducing broadcast quality sound equipment and eliminating the use of mobile phones to generate content. So far, there have been more than seven million videos views on our Twitter channel alone since December 2021.

Other significant projects included a video for the Customer Relations team which illustrated their business plan for 2023. We filmed various members of staff, from Ticket Examiners, Conductors, Customer Information and Dispatchers to Area Managers and the Head of Customer Operations.

Another high-profile programme featured the work of our Customer Information Teams in Paisley and Dunfermline, where they showcased ScotRail’s CCTV estate, the second largest outside of London. Additionally, we have highlighted the work, both internally as well as across our social media channels, of our Travel Safe Team, who are tackling anti-social behaviour on the rail network.

The reach of our YouTube has increased thanks to this as well. In a little over a year, the subscribers have nearly doubled.“
