Dasha Pritchard

Said the following about Nina Tamarra:

“Nina joined AECOM’s growing bridge team as a Graduate Engineer from University of Bath in September 2021. Since then she has been exposed to a variety of work from assessment to commercial aspects on NR CAFA (Civils Assessments Framework Agreement) Wessex project. She is a very positive and hard working engineer. She is extremely organised and has great technical knowledge. She is a brilliant team player and doesn’t shy away from helping anyone. Her great achievement was organising a large inspection for Westminster Road Bridge which was a logistical challenge and then delivering the results of the inspection to the client who praised our team for that. She was able to recognise defects which needed urgent attention. She has managed the Inspection Report for Westminster Road Bridge which was a challenging due to the scale of the structure. She has produced a fantastic system of recording defects and linking them to drawings and previous data. The report was greatly received by client. Nina is an active graduate member for ICE and she is eager to get chartered and progress in her career. I’m proud to be her line manager and I’m looking forward to see her career growing.“

George Lawlor

Said the following about Nina Tamarra:

“Nina is in her first job since graduating but has the behaviours of someone with far greater experience. She is working on the CAFA assessment programme where she has proved herself adept at undertaking some complex assessments as well as helping to organise and carry out inspections in some challenging locations.

She is always available to help and advise other junior staff as well as volunteering to work at unsociable hours as dictated by the job.

Technically she has grasped the assessment process very quickly picking up differing approaches very quickly.

Nina has very quickly made herself a key part of the team in AECOM Basingstoke.“

Daniele Colombraro

Said the following about Nina Tamarra:

“During the course of her first year in the AECOM bridges team, Nina has become an invaluable member of our group, playing a key role in the management and project delivery of the CAFA assessment programme.

From a technical perspective, she has been able to grasp a wide range of concepts at a startling pace and, in doing so, has efficiently delivered assessments for a variety of structures. In this time, she has continually demonstrated a willingness to share her learnings, benefitting all her colleagues. An example of this was her explanation of the theory and calculation spreadsheet for the nonlinear assessment of bearing stiffeners.

She has also been involved in the management, finance and site work aspects of this project, and has been able to approach all with professionalism, determination and an eagerness to learn.“

Colin McKenna

Said the following about Nina Tamarra:

“Nina has only been with us for just one year, but in that time she has already proven herself as someone with the abilities and understanding of far greater working time experience than that.

She is someone that the whole team can trust to deliver work of the highest quality and she is a key member of my team here in Basingstoke.“

Josiah Parsons

Said the following about Nina Tamarra:

“We collaborated on an inspection report for a large complicated bridge where her responsibility was to author the report itself and instruct me on how the drawings should be presented to capture the defects that were found. The inspection on the bridge took place over the course of a week, so compiling all of the site notes and the data collected over the course of the inspection was a challenge, especially in terms of presenting the findings in a clear and concise way. Nina's huge effort in writing the report and directing me through authoring the drawings meant that the client was satisfied with the report that was issued.“
