Said the following about Monica Rani:

“On 09/01/22 whilst patrolling at the station she noticed a distressed female entering the station. Monica continued to monitor and observe her in case there were any issues. She noticed the female looked very upset so approached her and asked if she was ok and wanted to talk. She reported this into her control and continued to talk to the female but she was still upset and as a train approached the female tried to get round her and onto the tracks. Monica was told to ring Control and place a block on the lines and call BTP. This was done whilst trying to keep the female calm and away from the tracks which was done in the station waiting shelter. BTP and the manager arrived. BTP took over and once calm escorted the female away. They thanked Monica for her actions. The female was a known missing person with mental health issues and suicidal intent. Preventing her from accessing the tracks undoubtedly saved her from harm“
