“Mel is a fantastic station manager at Wolverhampton station. I have worked with her throughout the construction of the station and the midland metro. I work with MMA as part of Transport for West Midlands. She is always the person to go to for answers to arrange changes within the station as a result of the construction.
Over the past 12 months while I have been here and on the whole Wolverhampton interchange project. During the Commonwealth Games she was instrumental to organise the rail replacement buses to go across the plaza at the station. She also assisted with the accessible shuttle service - travelling with them to show the drivers where West Park was and the cycling could be viewed.
Mel has never been obstructive or difficult to work with. She is a great example of a station manager who completely understands the operation of the station and working with us as stakeholders to ensure the project progresses but doesn’t impact the construction project. Not easy to achieve. But to be congratulated and recognised is really important.“
