James Melody

Said the following about Mark Reynolds:

“Mark is originally from the UK. His girlfriend however, is Ukrainian. Mark works for Keltbray as a contractor planning and submitting possession and isolation requests on our behalf for the Crossrail project.

At the start of the conflict in Ukraine, Mark was in Kherson at his girlfriend’s apartment. They decided to stay, as this was her home and show was reluctant to leave it in a pregnant state. Mark continued to work remotely for us during this time. As the conflict progressed, Russian troops entered Kherson and took control of the area. Mark continued to work remotely for us during this time. Mark and his girlfriend (still pregnant) were taken into questioning by the FSB. Mark had to explain what he was doing in Ukraine and for whom. The authorities decided to move them to Sochi in the Russian Federation for their own 'safety'. Mark's girlfriend was able to persuade the Georgian embassy in Sochi to grant her and Mark visa's to cross the border into Georgia to avoid further detention in Russia. Mark continued to work remotely for us during this time. Upon arrival in Tblisi, Mark and his girlfriend were able to obtain accommodation and she eventually gave birth to a healthy baby.

Mark is settled in Georgia with his girlfriend and baby and at some point they hope to return to Kherson to resume their lives.

During this time Mark has worked over available 4G connections in helping us plan and implement the last phase of the Crossrail work on the Anglia route which we hope to complete at the end of this year..“
