“I have nominated the lovely Mark Kirton just because he really is a fantastic person. Kind, caring and always so friendly.

Mark has set up different training styles to suit everyone's needs. You never feel stupid, awkward or uncomfortable.

Once Covid rules were more relaxed Mark made himself known to all with running refresher courses. Simply because not using work equipment for such a long time, I especially needed a little help. This helped me to build my confidence back up.

Mark is a bubbly and well-presented young man.

I'd like Mark to be recognised for all his hard work and commitment.

“I nominated this person as he is always there to support and give the best advice he can when possible, he is warm hearted and welcoming and a very understanding member of the team. He is very knowledgeable about the railway and if ever something he is unsure about always finds an answer and willing to help . I really think he deserves the award and he had been a amazing trainer to me personally and I really wouldn’t be good at my job if he hadn’t supported and given me the correct guidance“
