“In May 2022, Kritika was called to the platform toilets during her shift at the station. Located in one of the cubicles, was a young woman who was in an extremely distressed state, and causing self-harm to her body.
Kritika used her quick initiative and provided an outstanding response, comforting and reassuring the lady- who at the time would not speak nor accept help from anyone.
With Kritika’s kind perseverance, the lady finally began to trust her and engaged with her, telling her vital information that could be relayed back to the British Transport Police. This, in turn, resulted in the lady being taken in the care of the correct authorities, getting her the help she needed and deterring the situation from escalating to a fatal outcome.“
