Said the following about Keren Chambers:

“Keren's actions on the 3rd of Feb 2022 when responding to a call for help from a colleague who was dealing with a vulnerable child who required medical emergency was beyond reproach. A child was found wondering Wolverhampton Station with dried blood covering her face and when approached by Security she stated to self-harm. Security managed to move the child to the Customer Information point so first aid could be given. Immediately it was apparent the child was very uncomfortable with males in the vicinity, this is where Keren was asked to help. The compassion shown by Keren to this child immediately calmed her, allowing her to relax, talk and befriend Keren. Without Keren doing this we just don't know how the situation may have escalated . On arrival of British Transport Police and the Ambulance service Keren managed to hand over her name, where she had travelled from and other very personal information of her that was used by BTP and the Ambulance service to ensure this girl was returned to the correct place for medical attention. Keren was superb in handling the situation and in collating all the relevant information to help authorities to use to enable the correct care. Keren is an inspiring co-worker and is worthy of this award.“
