“In March 2022, whilst working their shift, Emran found an extremely distressed and distraught gentleman at the station, who was expressing a series of suicidal comments. Using pure kindness and initiative, Emran sat the individual down and initiated conversation with him to both reassure and distract the gentleman and prevent any tragic escalation. Additionally, Emran had the forethought to secure help from his fellow staff members, who were able to inform the relevant authorities, which resulted in the gentleman being taken to hospital to receive the correct, professional, care and attention and ultimately saved him from making a fatal mistake.“
